My welcome and greeting for you all in Christ,

Liberal Arts education in UPH is conducted in the framework of UPH Vision which is True Knowledge, Faith in Christ, and Godly Character and aimed at shepherding all UPH students to appropriate the essence of life in the Kingdom of God as the highest good, interpreted consistently and persistently in the framework of Reformed Christian Worldview.

Accordingly, our curriculum, courses, and teaching methodology is aimed at appropriating our students into living a life of gratitude, of worship, of responsibility, of appreciative gratitude, and of accomplishing the mission of God (missio Dei) in the world infused and inflamed with a deep self-awareness as the representations of the Triune God’s presence and blessing for all creation. In this way, our Liberal Arts education is the necessary foundation for all fields of study in UPH and it is our conviction that without anchoring in a Christian Liberal Arts education, these fields of study will loose its meaning, value, and purpose.

We provide foundational courses in 3 distinctive areas: Religious and Worldview Studies, Philosophical Studies, and Life Skills & Language Studies. All courses included in these areas (Christian Worldview, World Religion, Critical Thinking, Civics, Pancasila, Bahasa Indonesia, General English, Health and Wealthness, Intro to Natural Sciences, Intro to Social Sciences, Intro to Art & Aesthetic, Intro to Literature, Philosophy of Sciences, Ethics, and History of Thought) will facilitate students to appropriate Ethos (principle, norms, and values), Pathos (critical conscience), and Logos (wisdom for living) integratively, inter-relatedly, and uniquely.

Let us start the journey together to grasp the breadth, the height and the depth of Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge! Soli Deo Gloria.
